Expedition 21 Mission Patch
Expedition 21 will be the 21st long-crew-flight of the International Space Station (ISS). This expedition is scheduled to start in October 2009. Frank de Winne will be the first ESA astronaut to command a space mission.
The handover between Expedition 20 and Expedition 21 will require three Soyuz vehicles being docked to the station at the same time, a unique occurrence. Nicole P. Stott will be the final ISS expedition crew member to fly on the Shuttle, with STS-129.
