On one side is the Kennedy Space Center 50th Anniversary insignia in colour, inscribed on this side is: CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF U.S. MANNED SPACE FLIGHT - OFFICIAL COMMEMORATIVE - KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, 50TH ANNIVERSARY
On the reverse side is a montage of space achievements. Inscribed on this side is: 1962-2012 THIS MEDALLION WAS MINTED WITH METAL FLOWN ON APOLLO AND SPACE SHUTTLE MISSIONS.
