The Shuttle Landing Facility (SLF) is an airport located on Merritt Island in Brevard County, Florida USA. It is part of the John. F. Kennedy Space Center (KSC), and was used throughout the Space Shuttle program for take-off and landings right up until 2011 when the space shuttle program officially finished. It provided a take-off and landing facility for astronaut jet aircraft, Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA) and civilian aircraft.
