NASA Orion Embroidered Patch

America will send a new generation of explorers to he moon aboard NASA's Orion crew exploration vehicle. Making its first fights early in the next decade, Orion is part of the Constellation Program to send human explorers back to the moon, and then onward to Mars and other destinations in the solar system.

NASA and Department of Defense personnel familiarize themselves with a Navy-built, 18,000-pound Orion mock-up in a test pool at the Naval Surface Warfare Center's Carderock Division in West Bethesda, Md.
